A Friend to All

It’s been said that some people are so generous that they would give you the shirt off their backs. That expression embodies the essence of Gayle Pilat. Whenever there was anything I needed (even though I didn’t know I needed it), Gayle was always ready to provide it.

When my cat Calvin fell ill and wouldn’t eat for a week, Gayle came over and coaxed him to devour a 5 oz can of Iams Chicken, a feat even the vet staff couldn’t accomplish.

When Gayle learned I had lost 15 pounds due to a nasty infection, a box filled with protein powders and probiotics appeared at my door the next day.

Incidents like these were common in a friendship with Gayle. Her love for people, flora and fauna was unsurpassed. Rest in peace my dear friend.
